Know Our Founders

Dr Madhuri Shah was an educationalist who visualised tomorrow’s needs and fought the bounds and restrains of the society of her day. She was Vice Chancellor of SNDT Girls University, Bombay and was later appointed to the prestigious post of Chairman of the University Grants Commission. In recognition of her international status, she was elected President of the World Education Fellowship. She has received several awards including the high honour of the Padma Shri. She founded Jasudben M L School in 1979 and introduced the Project Method so many years ago, much before the government hailed it as a novel concept. She believed that learning should be multi-level as each child is an individual whose best potential must be tapped.
Mrs. Kallolini Hazarat was President, Gujarat Research Society and of the World Education Fellowship – Indian Section and Immediate past president, Reading Association of India. She nurtured Jasudben M L School and Bloomingdales Pre-Primary from its inception. She was a great believer in “beyond classroom walls” and out-of-the-box creative strategies. She insisted that learning should be fun. She regularly added new dimensions to Gujarat Research Society including the “Centre for Lifelong Learning” which caters to students of all ages and strata of society. Versatile and multi-faceted she also made regular contributions to the world of classical music and dance. She had her own garba group who performed in Mumbai as well as abroad.
