Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC Std XI and XII) is conducted by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. It has been designed in accordance with the recommendations of the Education Policy of India, 1986. It is the Junior College extension of the ICSE (Std X).
ISC was introduced in Jasudben M. L. School in the year 2005 – 06 with the introduction of the Science Stream to commemorate 30 years of the school’s existence. Following its success, the Commerce Stream was introduced in 2008 – 09. The curriculum follows the syllabus prescribed by the CISCE board, New Delhi. Students from all boards – ICSE, CBSE, SSC and IGCSE , who have cleared the School Leaving Examination at Std. X level are eligible for admission. The Humanities stream is being introduced from the academic year 2020-21. Subjects offered are listed below.
FEATURES / HIGHLIGHTS
The curriculum allows the school to provide an all round education that turns out confident and sensitive global citizens. Emphasis is placed on community service relating to environment, under privileged strata of society e.g. tree plantation drive, beach cleanup drive, visit to the Mother Teresa’s orphanage, newspaper recycling drive, literacy drive etc. Students take part in various extra curricular activities like the school annual day, debates, elocution competitions, MUNs. The IAYP (International Award for Young People – affiliated with the Duke of Edinburgh Award) programme is also offered to the students of ISC.
Multifaceted Student Life
Besides rigorous and comprehensive academics, students are encouraged to participate in sports, athletics and have a number of sports coaching schemes to choose from. Every year students visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Sangrahalaya museum and the Kala Ghoda Festival.
Intercollegiate competitions and activities in academics as well as sports, are also encouraged and very often JMLites win laurels for themselves and the school.
