Mrs. Damayanti BhattacharyaPrincipal, Jasudben ML School, and Bloomingdales Pre-Primary
With over 30 years in the field of education, an AP and IGCSE certified teacher for Global Perspectives, Mrs. Damayanti Bhattacharya is a highly experienced and accomplished educationist who graduated from Calcutta University with a Masters in English Literature and holds a B.Ed. degree.
Mrs. Bhattacharya started her teaching career in Gujarat where she spent two years. She then moved to Mumbai in 1994 and joined JML School for a span of three years. It was from here that she moved to The Cathedral & John Connon Middle School. Over the course of 22 years at this reputed institution, she was HOD of the English Department and then Headmistress. Life came back full circle in 2020 as Mrs. Damayanti Bhattacharya returned to JML School as Principal of our prestigious institution.
The first educationist in India to introduce an innovation hub to promote practical learning experiences, Ms. Bhattacharya’s vision is to ignite and nurture the spirit of inquiry in young leaders.
In September 2020, she was bestowed with the Iconic Leadership Award by the Governor of Maharashtra, for imparting the most advanced knowledge and education to children without departing from core Indian values.
Whilst keeping abreast with education systems, policies and a dynamic environment, Mrs. Damayanti Bhattacharya believes that JML School and Bloomingdales Pre-Primary have offered her an enriching opportunity, to mentor and shape lives. She strongly believes that children are like clay and teachers are potters. The duty of the potter is to fashion the clay with love and care, to create a strong and most exquisite piece of art.
Mrs. Geeta SanilVice- Principal, Jasudben ML School, and Bloomingdales Pre-Primary
Being part of the JML family for over 25 years, Mrs. Sanil has been the Vice Principal of JML School since 2013.
With a Master’s degree in Literature, Psychology and Education, Mrs. Geeta Sanil has been an integral part of JML school, its values, and at the core of its growth.
A Senior School teacher of English and History, Mrs. Sanil is also an Examiner Coordinator-Mumbai Centre, for the ISC English Language Paper.
Mrs. Shilpa GandhiISC Section Head and Coordinator, Jasudben ML School
A certified Chartered Accountant with an M.A. in Education from the University of Mumbai, Mrs. Gandhi has had a long career spanning the corporate world, government and education institutions.
Having worked in the Gujarat Research Society’s – Center for Lifelong Learning from 2004- 2007, as the coordinator for the computer center, she moved on to essay several roles at Billabong International High School including Head of Department, Mathematics and Computer Science.
Mrs. Gandhi joined the JML family in 2014 as part of the faculty, teaching ISC Economics and Business Studies to our higher secondary students. She took over as the ISC Section Head and Coordinator in 2019
Mrs. Rashmi KapadiaPre-Primary Coordinator, Bloomingdales Pre-Primary
With over 20 years of experience as an educator, Mrs. Rashmi Kapadia, who holds a Diploma in Early Child Care Education and a Postgraduate degree in Computer Management, is the Head of Bloomingdales Pre-Primary.
With prior experience as the Franchise Head for Kangaroo Kids at Lower Parel and The New Era School, Mumbai, Mrs. Kapadia brings with her an invaluable body of domain knowledge and experience. Bloomingdales Pre-Primary has grown under her able guidance and vision.
Mrs. Neha SrivastavaPrimary Coordinator, Jasudben ML School
Starting her teaching career in 1995, Mrs. Srivastava has been an educator in India and abroad.
After almost 10 years of teaching English and Social Studies in Mumbai, Mrs. Srivastava moved to Indonesia, where she was the Primary Principal of the Trinity International School from 2005-2010.
She went on to head the Kanaan Global School in Jakarta as their Primary Principal from 2010-2015.
She then moved to the beautiful city of Bandung near Jakarta, heading the Primary School in Sekolah Bina Persada from 2015-2018.
Each of these schools is associated with Cambridge International and Singapore-based curriculum
Armed with this wealth of experience, teaching and interacting with people from diverse cultures, she returned to Mumbai to join the JML family in 2019.
Continuing to grow her teaching career back in Mumbai, Mrs. Srivastava is an instrumental part of the leadership team at JML School.
Mrs. Saktima DasHead of NIOS Section (RCI Registered) and SWBC Coordinator
A qualified special educator, with over 18 years of experience, JML School is privileged to have Mrs. Saktima Das helming the NIOS program. In addition, she heads the Student Wellbeing Centre (SWBC) at JML School.
With her specialised qualifications and rich domain knowledge, Mrs. Das is eligible for providing Formal and Informal Psycho-Educational Assessment reports required by the ICSC, CBSE, and IGCSE Boards to provide board exam concessions.
With an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from IGNOU, M.Ed. in Special Education from SNDT University, and D.Ed. in Physical and Neurological Disorder (Spastic) from Spastic Society, Mumbai, Mrs. Saktima Das has been an invaluable part of the JML School academic leadership team.
