A group of our talented students from JML participated in the ‘Kids for Tigers: Tigers Festival 2024’ held at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), a vibrant event with over 1,000 participants. The festival was packed with engaging wildlife games and activities, including a Nature Trail, face painting, Poster painting, leaf art, and more. We are thrilled to announce that JML clinched 1st place in the leaf painting competition!

Our eagerly awaited annual play, “Tamasha, Main Tujhe Zeher Pilaungi Dafliwale,” was brought to life at the Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir Auditorium. With an incredible cast of nearly 1000 students spanning classes II to XII, the production was a true celebration of Bollywood. It brilliantly showcased everything from the industry’s dazzling glamour to its gritty reality, delivering an unforgettable experience for the audience.

Back from the Diwali break, our 1st and 2nd graders kicked off their first day with an enchanting virtual storytelling session by the renowned children’s author and founder of Sam and Mi , Ms. Priyanka Agarwal Mehta!

Ms. Mehta captivated their young minds with her book ‘How to Draw a Samara’, weaving interactive moments with questions that had our eager students buzzing with answers.

The highlight? A delightful drawing activity led by Priyanka herself, guiding each child to create a unique self-portrait. From expressing in words to translating thoughts into vibrant drawings, it was a burst of creativity!

Embracing the Digital Arena! Our Computer Department recently hosted an electrifying Inter-house Competition for students from Classes V-X. They showcased their talents in three competitive categories:

Group A (Classes V & VI) presented ‘The Game Master Challenge,’ where they designed interactive games using Scratch.
Group B (Classes VII & VIII) delved into ‘Website Wonders,’ creating captivating websites with tools like Google Sites.
Group C (Classes IX & X) unraveled the ‘Code Decode’ category, putting their programming skills to the test.

Students ranging from Pre-Primary to Class XII wowed us with their incredible artwork. But the excitement didn’t stop there!

In addition to traditional art pieces, our talented art students displayed their very own caps, bags, and jewelry, all crafted with love and creativity. And guess what? Parents had the opportunity to own these one-of-a-kind creations!

Watching our students light up as they found their masterpieces amidst the displays was a pure delight. For parents, it was a chance to witness the remarkable talents of our budding artists.

In celebration of Hindi Divas, we recently hosted an electrifying ‘Nukad Natak’ – an inter-school Street Play Competition.

Students from different schools showcased their talents and presented gripping plays on crucial topics like cleanliness drive, pollution, corruption, superstition, women’s empowerment, gender equality, and inflation etc.

Every play delivered powerful messages that left a lasting impact, making it an incredibly tough decision for our esteemed judges.

In a mesmerizing event, our Primary section students recently dazzled in the Inter-House Amar Chitra Katha Storytelling Competition. They held the audience in rapt attention with their exceptional storytelling, colorful costumes, and unique narratives.

What set this competition apart was the students’ freedom to choose their favorite Amar Chitra Katha stories, infusing their personal flair into each performance. This diversity brought forth a wide range of captivating tales, all narrated with passion.

As these young storytellers wove their narratives, they transported the audience to the enchanting realms of Indian mythology, history, and folklore. Their performances not only showcased their storytelling prowess but also their deep connection to our cultural heritage.

This competition highlighted the power of storytelling to educate and entertain, and our students excelled in this timeless art form. With colorful costumes and lively renditions, they breathed new life into Amar Chitra Katha’s cherished tales, leaving an enduring impact.

In a world that treasures storytelling, our Primary section students shone as storytellers extraordinaire. Their performances celebrated the richness of Indian stories and brought Amar Chitra Katha to life in a truly magical way.

Grades 3 and 4 at JML School recently embarked on an exciting ICT journey organized by the Computer Department. Armed with tools like WordPad and Scratch Jr., students explored the digital realm, crafting captivating creations that echoed their imagination. Beyond competition, this event aimed to spark a love for technology and innovation. Let’s applaud these young tech explorers!

The Hindi Department organized an uproarious Inter-house competition featuring hilarious advertisements for soap, tissue paper, perfume, cough lozenges, pain relief spray, and protein shakes. Laughter echoed as participants had the audience in splits!
