HEALTH AND SAFETY
The safety and wellbeing of our students are of paramount importance to us at Jasudben M. L School.
The safety and wellbeing of our students are of paramount importance to us at Jasudben M. L School. We have over 100 CCTV surveillance cameras strategically placed to cover the entire campus, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our students.
We also have a team of security guards patrolling the campus round the clock in shifts, even after school hours.
For our students’ health and wellbeing, a qualified doctor visits the school three times a week.
As a standard practice, JML School conducts annual health checks for all its students. This includes students from Std. I to Std. X. A pediatrician comes to do an annual health checkup of students of pre-primary.
At JML School, we maintain a medical file for each student with all necessary and important information relating to health, allergies, and sensitive conditions. All medical files are updated annually when the students have their health checkups.
Our designated school doctor is also available to outsiders, especially those of lower-income groups.
To handle any unforeseen health emergency, we have a First Aid trained nurse on call available during school hours.
STUDENT WELLBEING CENTRE

Keeping the mental health and special education needs of the students and staff of JML School and Bloomingdales Pre-Primary, we have set up a Student Well Being Centre (SWBC), which is a counselling centre with psychologists (clinical & counselling) and special educators.
Established in 2019, SWBC provides Counselling, Psychotherapy, Special Education, Academic Remediation, Psycho-Educational Assessments and Career Guidance and Life Skills to our students.
Our SWBC Counsellor helps students deal with difficulties and distress related to life’s problems, emotional stress, behavioural problems, academic challenges, difficulties with peers and other relationships. They also help students with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and other behavioural disorders.
Our Special Educators take Remedial Education sessions for students of JML from Std. I to Std. VIII. These sessions are individual or group-based and are conducted twice a week during school hours.
The SWBC also focuses on teaching life skills and psychosocial competencies to students, to enable them to deal with the demands of life.
The SWBC offers Aptitude Testing and Career Guidance for students of Std. VIII (going to Std. IX). This helps our students make better career choices in the long-term and subject-choices (for ICSE) in the short-term.
The SWBC also conducts Psycho-Educational Assessments for students of the school, as and when required. These assessments help in the diagnosis of Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs), learning difficulties and can be done for students from Std. III upwards.
