Indian School Certificate (ISC)

HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL

We introduced ISC in Jasudben M. L. School in the year 2005 – 06 with the introduction of the Science Stream to commemorate 30 years of the school’s existence. Following its success, we, at JML School, introduced the Commerce Stream in 2008 – 09 and the Humanities stream in 2020-21.

Students from all boards – ICSE, CBSE, SSC, and IGCSE, who have cleared the School Leaving Examination at Std. X level, are eligible for admission in JML School, Khar Mumbai.

ABOUT THE CURRICULUM

Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC Std XI and XII) is conducted by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. It has been designed in accordance with the recommendations of the Education Policy of India, 1986, and is upgraded continually to follow the New Education Policy as well. It is the Junior College extension of the ICSE (Std X).

HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT

The ISC curriculum allows the JML school to provide an all-around education that turns out confident and sensitive global citizens.

We emphasise community service. The students of JML School undertake tree plantation drives, beach cleanup drives, newspaper recycling drives, literacy drives, and visits to Mother Teresa’s orphanage.

We offer JML’s ISC students the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award (now known as  IAYP- International Award for Young People).

MULTIFACETED STUDENT LIFE

We encourage our students to participate in sports and athletics. JML students have the opportunity to train under our various sports coaching schemes and also compete in Inter-collegiate matches, where they have won laurels for themselves and the school.

Our ISC students also participate in various extracurricular activities such as the school Annual Day, debates, elocution competitions, and Model United Nations (MUN).

CAREER COUNSELLING

JML School offers in-house career counselling for students of Std XI and XII. This includes sessions with individual students and their families, career fairs, etc.

The academic year begins in March and ends in February.
