After School Activities at JML

JML School and Bloomingdales Pre-Primary focuses on holistic growth. With this in view, a lot of emphasis is given to physical training, outdoor sports, performing arts, innovation, and overall well-being. Our school offers a number of Before & After School and Weekend Activity Programmes, to all the students right from Pre-Primary to Higher Secondary.

Athletics

Athletics at JML School builds fitness, confidence, and teamwork while offering students a fun and supportive space to pursue their passion.

Our athletes have excelled at State and National levels, with Tristan D’souza and Keerthanaa Krishnamachaari winning at the State Championship and representing Maharashtra at the CISCE National Athletic Meet. The Under-14 Girls Relay Team has also won gold and silver at District Competitions.

Film Making

At TIFS, unlock your child’s creativity through the art of storytelling! Our filmmaking programme introduces students to the exciting world of cinema—guiding them through every stage, from scripting and acting to shooting and editing.

Along the way, students not only build confidence and creative expression but also gain hands-on experience with modern tools and techniques. The programme also offers an introduction to the world of AI, helping young learners explore how technology is shaping the future of filmmaking and storytelling.

Throwball

Throwball is very popular game in our school. The game enhances hand – eye coordination, increases muscle strength, reduces stress and also improves social skills. Skating

Skating at JML offers students a fun way to stay active while developing balance, coordination, and flexibility. It also enhances confidence and overall fitness in an engaging environment.

With Speed-n-Skill’s expert training and the guidance of Coach Oliver Burrows, students have achieved success across competitions over the years.

Chess

Chess is a stimulating activity that enhances cognitive skills such as memory, planning, problem-solving, and concentration. It also nurtures sportsmanship by encouraging students to reflect on their moves, learn from mistakes, and improve their strategies.

The programme aims to prepare students for inter-school competitions through structured, age-appropriate training. Sessions are guided by Dr Geeta Punjabi, National Arbiter and Chairperson of Chanakya Chess Club, along with experienced instructors who support each child’s growth.

Karate

Step into the world of Karate and discover strength from within! This after-school activity builds fitness, discipline, and mental toughness while boosting confidence and self-control.

Students will have the opportunity to earn belts and certification through examinations. The programme is conducted under the All India Gojukai Karate-Do, headed by Hanshi Vispy Kapadia, an 8th Dan Red Belt and one of India’s foremost karate experts.

Yoga

Yoga is a calming and enriching after-school activity that helps students reduce stress and enhance overall well-being. It focuses on traditional Yogasana, where students learn to perform postures with correct technique, alignment, and breath synchronisation, building flexibility, balance, and inner focus.

The programme also prepares students for inter-school yoga competitions. Under the guidance of Ms Meena Gawde, students have represented JML at various competitions and brought accolades to the school.
