French people celebrate la Fête Nationale each year on July 14, which they often call le quatorze Juillet. This French national holiday commemorates a turning point in the French Revolution, the storming of the Bastille. At Jasudben M.L School we celebrated this day with the students depicting the various aspects of Bastille day. Students of Stds. V and VI put up an exhibition showcasing all about France, Std. IX and X performed a French song and enacted a skit with 3 Acts which told the background story behind King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, King and Queen of France and the reasons that led to the celebration of Bastille Day.
